Evidence presented by Stacy Braiuca at McBee Braiuca Web Tree [http://awt.ancestry.com/cgi-bin/igm.cgi?op=GET&db=slbraiuca] convinces me that the William B. Calvert who married Hester Rigdon is the very same William B. Calvert who later married Elizabeth Evans. (Braiuca's data seems to come primarily from World Family Tree Vol. 2, Ed. 1.)
Ancestry of William B. Calvert (ca 1790 - ca 1863) originally was taken from a letter quoted by Gene & Jeanie Hardyman in their book "Descendants of William Hardeman from Kentucky." The authors point out that they have not researched the Calvert line and have been "unable to verify any of the above information." Although missing some data, their account is *almost* identical to the listing given at McBee Braiuca Web Tree which I am now using as my source.
Canning [http://awt.ancestry.com/cgi-bin/igm.cgi?op=GET&db=ev37ca&id=I952] names Hester Rigdon's husband "William Burgess Calvert." Six [http://awt.ancestry.com/cgi-bin/igm.cgi?op=GET&db=:2126777&id=I45067] has him styled "William Buck Calvert." Hardyman says "William Bond Calvert." Your guess is as good as mine: I have used Braiuca's generic "William B."
Canning [http://awt.ancestry.com/cgi-bin/igm.cgi?op=DESC&db=ev37ca&id=I935] does not list Marion or Melissa among Hester Rigdon and William B. Calvert's children.
