On the back of this photograph is written, “Grandmother & Uncle Jim Crocker.”
Thanks to some brilliant research by J T Clay (a second cousin), we agree that this is probably James Crocker (my grandfather’s uncle) and his mother, Jemima Crocker (wife of Henry Crocker), who would therefore be my great-great grandmother. We estimate the photograph was taken about 1885.
