Narrative
Despite differences in the spelling of various names and such, I am fairly certain that this is the "Mona (Godfrey) Hayward" referenced in an obituary for Edna Mae Hayward Goodin in the Chickasaw Times, February, 2007. If this is true, then we may add the following information:
James and Mona [Morning?] Hayward had 5 daughters. In the obituary, their names are given as Edna Mae Hayward Goodin, Mildred Jorg, LouRena Vance, Olline McDonald and Lahoma Rice (the only one still alive at the time).
Edna Mae (born Dec. 2, 1904 in what is now Pittsburg Co., OK), was an original enrollee in the Chickasaw tribe, attended school at Bloomfield Seminary, and married C. A. (Buddy) Goodin in 1927 at Duncan, OK. They had one son, Norman Gene, who was born July 12, 1933, at Wilson, OK. C. A. Goodin died in October, 1991. Edna Mae died in Lebanon, OK, on Dec. 23, 2006, at the age of 102.
