Narrative

Captured in the 1836 Indian raid on Ft. Parker, TX, when only a year and a half of age, James Pratt Plummer was separated from his mother and taken by a different tribe. He was found and returned to his family 15 January, 1848.

Enlisted as a Private, Co. F, 15 Ret Texas Cavalry in Springfield, Texas, 12 March 1862; killed somewhere in Arkansas.
