This would appear to be the same Edward Crocker discussed at the beginning of "Our Crocker Ancestors" by James Francis Crocker in 1907 (published in 1914 by Whitson & Shepherd, Portsmouth, Virginia).
In 1998, Michael L. Crocker transcribed this pamphlet from a photocopy located in the North Carolina State Archives Genealogy Library, call no. GR 929.2 C938C. Some time ago I downloaded this transcription from the internet. I can't find the source these days and the notice attached to the document prohibit reproduction.
The will of Edward Crocker was dated 1751-Sept-24 and "admitted to record" on 1752-Jul-2. Sadly, I find no mention of his wife.
